This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what rights 

you have over it. It applies to auralune.co.uk and to any order you place with us.

What we collect

When you place an order Your name, billing address, delivery address, email address, telephone number, and the details of what you bought.

We do not see or store your full card number. Payments are processed by Shopify Payments and, where you choose it, PayPal. They handle your card details directly.

When you browse the site Your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, referring website, and the time and length of your visit. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

When you sign up to emails Your email address, and your first name if you give it. When you contact us Whatever you include in your message, along with your email address.

Why we use it

To take payment, fulfil your order and arrange delivery
To send order confirmations, dispatch notices and tracking
To answer your questions and handle returns
To detect and prevent fraud
To send marketing emails, where you have asked us to
To measure how the site and our advertising perform
To meet our legal obligations, including tax and accounting records 

Our legal basis 

We rely on the following, under UK GDPR and the EU GDPR: Contract — to process and deliver your order

Consent — for marketing emails and non-essential cookies, which you can withdraw at any time

Legitimate interests — to prevent fraud, improve the site, and understand our customers, balanced against your rights

Legal obligation — to keep financial records required by law Who we share it with

We share only what is necessary, with:
Shopify — our store and hosting platform
Shopify Payments and PayPal — payment processing

CJdropshipping and our shipping carriers — to pick, pack and deliver your order. This means your name and delivery address are passed to a fulfilment partner outside the UK.

Email and marketing providers — to send order and marketing emails
Meta and other advertising platforms — for measurement and advertising, where you have consented to those cookies

Professional advisers and authorities — where we are legally required to We do not sell your personal information.

International transfers

Some of our suppliers and service providers are based outside the UK and the European Economic Area, including in China and the United States. Where personal data is transferred, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

How long we keep it

Order and transaction records are kept for six years, as required for tax purposes. Marketing

contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Website analytics data is kept for up to 26 months.

Cookies

We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to work, such as remembering your basket and keeping your session secure. These do not need your consent.

We also use analytics and advertising cookies, including the Meta pixel, which we only set with your consent. You can change or withdraw that consent at any time through the cookie settings on our site, or by clearing cookies in your browser.

Your rights

You have the right to:
Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
Have inaccurate data corrected
Ask us to delete your data, where we have no ongoing need for it
Object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it
Ask us to transfer your data to another provider
Withdraw consent at any time, including by unsubscribing from any marketing email

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or to the data protection authority in your own country.

Children

Our site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
